Madi Peters, Naturopathic Student
Madi is a fourth-year naturopathic medical student at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, training to become a licensed Naturopathic Doctor. During her fourth year she is a clinical intern, seeing patients full-time under the supervision of licensed Naturopathic Doctors. Prior to pursing further education, she completed her undergraduate degree at Brock University in Community Health and Medical Sciences. During this time, Madi was a part of the Brock Dance competitive team competing in tap, contemporary, and lyrical. Growing up Madi was a competitive dancer, as well as training in gymnastics and swimming. Contemporary, jazz, and and tap have been lifelong favourite styles for Madi, in addition to loving tumbling and acrobatics. But Madi's journey took a turn when she faced her own battle with chronic neurological Lyme disease and co-infections. It was a wake-up call that ignited her passion for integrative, collaborative, and naturopathic approaches to healthcare. Now, her sights are set on making a lasting impact in the field. She's particularly drawn to complex chronic diseases, nutritional counseling, integrative oncology care, metabolic health, and preventative medicine. Madi firmly believes that the pillars of health—sleep, nutrition, stress management, movement, and reconnecting with nature—are the cornerstones of well-being in both sickness and health. Outside her demanding studies and busy clinic days, Madi finds joy in the kitchen, whipping up delicious whole food meals. Hot yoga is her sanctuary for relaxation and movement. She's often found exploring the great outdoors, whether hiking in the wilderness, soaking up the sun at the beach, or simply enjoying quality time with cherished family and friends. Madi is excited to be collaborating with Dr. Stephen Gray DC to create evidence-based resources that empower individuals to embrace nutrition and natural health as essential tools for a vibrant, fulfilling life.
